Blown away by our dinner experience here with the girls tonight. If we could give an extra star 🌟 for service we would. Warm genuine staff who showed pride in their restaurant and want their customers to enjoy themselves. Food was exceptional and all such new and different flavours! We went with the chef menu. Decadent cocktails beautifully presented. Love the New Orleans decor and all the brassy light fixtures! ✨️ We highly recommend a visit here!

We definitely need to go out more and further afield. Forgot how good some of the many bars and restaurants in the area are, and Clarences was no exception. Really enjoyed the interaction between staff, locals, and us blow ins. We were only popping in for one drink and ended up staying for the Crispy Chicken, which we heartily devoured. We will be back, with friends when the opportunity arises.

How can this place have less than 5/5 I'll never know? Food on point, absolutely flawless! Compliments to the chef, everything perfectly complimenting whats on the plate. We went for the chefs choice and it was divine. You're staff are also out of this world, the perfect balance of engaging, knowledge and enthusiastic about the food and drinks on the menu. Will definitely come back for a jazz night soon. Thank you

What an incredible place. An excellent burger and glass of wine for a whopping $14. What a treat. I loved the food, and the bar like restaurant atmosphere. It was a seriously good dinner time. I didn’t find the service to be very good, a bit apathetic really. We ordered 5 items and they forgot one. So that was disappointing waiting for that last item of food and having no apology for forgetting it. But from that I am still impressed by the menu and I will be back. :)

Clarence’s Bar in Mt Lawley are currently offering an AMAZING vegan set menu every Wednesday night. This week’s menu was 2 shared entrees, a shared main and shared dessert for $39 - and honestly this was one of the most impressive vegan meals I’ve ever had!! The presentation of these meals was on par with the best fine dining restaurants I’ve been to, and every meal was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I also really loved the unique ingredients such a pipian (a thick sauce made from pepitas and green peppers) and tepache (a fermented beverage made from pineapple, brown sugar and cinnamon), which I had never had before but both were incredible! 😍 Entree 1: Heirloom carrots with seeded red pepper sauce Entree 2: Charred eggplant with harissa, fennel and mint Main: Mushroom five ways with pipian Dessert: Tepache, caramelised pineapple, whipped vanilla coconut cream, macadamia Do yourself a favour and book in for one of these dinners ASAP! The dimmed lighting inside makes it perfect for a romantic date, and there’s also a beautiful courtyard outside with fairy lights.
